Social Media Marketing for Oliver Sacks: His Own Life
Oliver Sacks: His Own Life is a film with two goals: increase public awareness of the incredible Dr. Sacks and get the film’s distribution rights sold to U.S. and international distributors. With a slim marketing budget and an endless supply of content to work with, I collaborated with in-house graphic designers and video editors to create compelling content that strategically marketed the film across social media. With an emphasis on IGTV and Twitter, the marketing campaign was deemed a success because of the breadth of impact that the ads were able to generate – over 5 million people engaged with the film’s posts. The film’s distribution rights were sold following rave reviews in Variety and The Hollywood Reporter, as well as VICE.
